AYTM 2026 TREND PREDICTIONS
WHAT WE THINK WILL OUTLIVE PASSING FADS

We are a few weeks into 2026 and discussions about the year’s trends are already gathering pace.

If you are curious about which styles are set to endure, you’re in the right place. At AYTM we believe in timeless styles that last for years and outlive passing fads. The trends we have selected to focus on for 2026 are those we believe have lasting appeal and go beyond the short-lived cycles often seen in the industry.

BLUE, BLUE AND MORE BLUE

The prefect opportunity to explore the monochrome look

Many indicators point towards blue as a strong colour in interior and home styling anno 2026. Not just a single shade, but the full spectrum of blues. Whether you prefer a soft sky blue, a deep navy, or a vibrant ultramarine, this trend offers something for everyone. Chances are you already have several blue elements in your home, so perhaps now is the time to highlight them.

This trend is ideal for exploring a monochrome look using varying tones of the same blue shade. Consider painting a wall and styling it with furniture and accessories in complementary blue hues that suit your personal taste.

EARTHY TONES

Creating an atmosphere that stands the test of time

At the world seems even more chaotic in 2026, we increasingly seek a deeper connection with nature. Warm, earthy tones provide a sense of calm and make our homes feel both cozy and grounding. This trend is already well established, and at AYTM we believe it is here to stay throughout 2026 and beyond. It extends beyond colour alone to include materials and craftsmanship, with a growing appreciation for honest, tactile surfaces.

In the 2020s we’re drawn towards a more grounded way of living. Materials such as clay, wood, textiles, and living plants help us achieve this connection. To embrace the look, combine different shades of taupe, brown, green and terracotta and use natural, authentic materials such as wood, clay, and textiles. Styling brown ceramic flowerpots alongside raw woven textiles with more delicate pieces like a green glass vase or bowl creates a layered and visually interesting composition through the contrast of materials. This not only creates a trend-led interior but also an atmosphere that stands the test of time.

WARM NATURALS

Brightens up the home and creates a sense of calm and balance

According to PANTONE® the Colour of the Year is Cloud Dancer™ a warm white shade. At AYTM we believe that soft warm neutrals are a staple that will never go out of style. They are timeless classics that brighten up the home and create a sense of calm and balance.

This trend aligns naturally with the Warm Minimalism movement we highlighted in 2025. Open spaces and restrained colour palettes in warm tones create interiors that feel both welcoming and serene, dressed in creamy whites, soft taupes and light sandy hues. To complete the look incorporate organic shapes in your interior styling that add softness and visual interest.

MOODY BURGUNDY

Crafting spaces that tell a story

Dark and moody interiors are emerging as a counterpoint to the light and minimalistic trend. While minimalism remains in style, there is a noticeable shift towards creating atmosphere over simplicity. Deeper shades such as plum and burgundy are becoming increasingly popular, crafting spaces that tell a story rather than merely displaying a trend.

This style is ideal for the Poetcore aesthetic that is gaining a lot of attention at the moment. Picture yourself reading quietly in a nook while the soft strains of piano music fill the room. To achieve this look, incorporate vintage books, cherished heirlooms, and materials that feel lived-in, giving your home a sense of warmth, character, and timeless appeal.

SILVER AND STEEL

Silver finishes are making a comeback in 2026

Last but not least. We can’t discuss 2026 interior trends without mentioning silver. Both vintage silverware and modern silver finishes are making a strong comeback. Stainless steel is everywhere, appearing in kitchens, table décor and furniture design. Particularly smaller pieces such as stools, side tables, shelves, and accessories like flowerpots, plates, mugs, and champagne glasses.

For a romantic aesthetic, pair vintage silverware with soft white tones or maybe a dark plum. If you prefer a more urban contemporary vibe, use stainless steel furniture as statement pieces.
